Lexington's Greatest Trees - a Bus and Walking Tour. Saturday, October 14, 8:30am to 1pm. Lexington is home to an astonishing number of very large, very old trees. Many of these trees predate the founding of Lexington and were here when the first settlers arrived. Beginning at West Sixth Brewing, we will travel by bus and on foot to explore these remarkable trees. We will explore many locations throughout the city, on both public and private property. Along the way, we will discuss the fate of these trees. Because of neglect and poor management, we are losing many of our most important trees.
The cost is $25 per person and attendance is limited to 30 people. After the course, we will meet at West Sixth Brewing for those who wish to continue our discussion.
